New Year’s Dream Goals 2026
If I had all the time, energy, and resources to work on all the goals I want to work on, here’s what excites me for the coming year!
-Have more family dinners
-Read more nonfiction books
-Do more stretching or occasional yoga
-Grow a garden
-Do more journaling
-Digital sabbath or have more set times to unplug
-Memorize a poem, quote, or scripture
-Track spending
-Be more involved with the nonprofits in my community
-Get some computer projects done: Clean videos off my phone, make baby books and family yearbooks
-Read more to Gretchen, Read more to the boys before bed. Try reading to the girls!
-Listen to a hard true classic like Anna Karenina on audiobook
-Do something physically demanding with my kids (hard hike)
-Go boating in Indiana as a family
-Go camping?
-Decorate the entire kitchen/dining/living room
-Ask our kids what we can do to improve to make family life more enjoyable. That family life is the place where you can find “the true source of joy”
-One family activity a week (sports, etc.)
-Go to bed earlier
-Be kind to yourself when reviewing the day
-Get monetized on my youtube channel
-Post more regularly on Instagram and Facebook
-Do more family councils
-Get out of debt
-Teach my kids more life skills. Have conversations.
-Prepare better for the sacrament
-Improve my eating
-Make ministering a more natural monthly part of my life
-Visit Carolyn during the day
-Visit Sarah during the day
-Talk to my kids about their goals
-Be more consistent at 1,000 gifts posts
-Be more consistent at praying at meals and use it as a chance to express love to my kids
-Be better at showing appreciation to my friends and family
-Increase my temple attendance
-Have people over, have the kids' friends over more
-Call my siblings and parents more & Ben’s parents more
-Eat more raw fruits and vegetables
-Create daily chores for our family
-Be better at my calling
-Do out of the ordinary fun service for my spouse and kids. Make loving them more fun.
